Here's my 3rd take at redesigning Sally Acorn. It's more or less a combination of her two previous redesigns, but it's much closer to how I picture her character.
I also added certain features to make her blend in more; such as making her hair the same color as her fur, giving her gloves, and a squirrel tail to make her more distinguishable. I also changed her vest to a jacket in order to hide her provocative parts.

Fun fact: Sally's hairstyle in this redesign was loosely modeled after another Sally (Charlie Brown's little sister from the "Peanuts" comics).
For this redesign, I wanted to make her more unique and bring her closer to the games by incorporating elements from her Ricky heritage.
If Sally were to appear in the Sega games, this is how I'd re-imagine her. A good combination of her original "Ricky" design with her SatAM appearance.
Eh, I particularly don't care of her Ricky design, but it's ok I guess.
One detail often overlooked in the modern Uekawa design is that nearly all females have flatter faces and don't have furry cheeks. Another detail is how their head-hair remains the same color as the rest of their fur.
And I thought the tail was nice addition too. Since Sally's a squirrel, she might as well resemble one. Looks like Tails and Ray aren't the only ones with big, bushy tails anymore.
As a result, she looks more unique and yet still fits the bill with the current Uekawa Sonic look.
